Title: Basic spinal instrumentation course
The course is a one-day intensive cadaver course with lectures and practical on how to safely place spinal instrumentation ranging from C0 to the sacrum. There will be two delegates to one cadaver with ample opportunity to practically apply the knowledge taught in the didactic sessions. All delegates will be exposed to the entire spinal column to practice and hone new skills.
Learning outcomes:
-Understanding relevant anatomical landmarks in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine and how they associate with instrumentation placement.
-Able to place instrumentation C0 – S1 without C-arm support.
-Able to build a fusion construct (thoracolumbar, cervical).
-Able to perform a costo-transversectomy and appreciate the anatomy for approaching the anterior thoracic spine.
-Understand the various equipment necessary for instrumentation placement in the spine.
Attendance Fee: USD320 (High / Upper-Middle Income Countries) | USD160 (Low and Low-Middle Income Countries. Pre-registration is required / numbers are limited to 48 participants.
